Sam Raimi (who is most known as the director of the original Spider-Man trilogy) confirmed that he wants to make another Evil Dead movie. Raimi gave audiences the first installment in 1981, the film was a great success inspiring two sequels, videogames and a reboot, alongside three seasons of ‘Ash vs. Evil Dead‘ although that sounds like plenty, fans want more and apparently so does Raimi with the filmmaker recently stating that he is indeed interested in developing a new film in the franchise. Star Bruce Campbell and producer Rob Tapert are said to be on board.

“I’d love to make another one. I don’t think TV is in its future but we’re talking – Bruce, Rob and myself – one or two different ways to go for the next one”,

Raimi revealed to ‘Bloody Disgusting’.

“We’d like to make another Evil Dead feature and in fact, we’re working on some ideas right now”.

It’s unknown if another installment from the franchise will actually be greenlit, Campbell retired from the role of ash, but he surprisingly, is all for a new actor taking on the role.

He stated the following:

“I’d be perfectly fine if they find some young Ash, do some new incarnation, let some other poor bas**rd get covered in blood”

Although Horror reboots have had a tough time in Hollywood, movies such as IT (2017) show that the impossible is certainly possible. Movies such as Halloween (2007) unfortunately show us that rebooted franchises can be a complete disaster.
