Captain Marvel has flown higher, further, and faster to the tune of over $400M domestic and over $1B worldwide. Soon, you will be able to enjoy the origin story of Marvel Studios’ most powerful hero from the comfort of your own home.

Captain Marvel arrives digitally on May 28, with the 4K UHD Blu-ray release to follow on June 11. This home release sports a robust list of special features, including several featurettes and deleted scenes.

The featurette I’m most excited to see is the digital exclusive “Journey into Visual Effects with Victoria Alonso.” As Marvel Studios’ executive vice president of physical production, Alonso has overseen and guided the movies of the MCU through the postproduction and visual effects processes. It should be fascinating to see how she and Marvel’s VFX supervisors and artists have been turning comic book fan dreams into reality for over a decade.
